The incumbent will be responsible for:

Delivering quality Power/HVAC design on a capital project while meeting cost and schedule objectives.

-Coordinating with the designers from other engineering disciplines to ensure timeliness and quality of all the design deliverables on a capital project. -Part of a team of designers with oversight of space, resources, systems, work practices and safety program.

- Developing Power/HVAC Design work load forecasting and managing process.

- Ensuring all meet the project objectives. - Ensuring effective work processes and procedures are in place and are being followed to execute the work. - Developing & improving the work processes to be used by all the team members.

- Leading the preparation of conceptual and detailed design.

-Providing overall discipline leadership and coordination in their functional processes on projects of various sizes and complexities.

-Developing processes and procedures for coordination of design work with other discipline designers.

-Guiding the team in converting engineer's conceptual design into a package of production design deliverables.

-Coordinating closely with engineers, designers and other team members within the engineering function, business units and construction.

â Primary responsibilities include management and design of mechanical systems for sustainable projects,

â support of all sustainable design and marketing efforts

â and, assistance in delivering and documenting green building technologies and strategies for green projects.

Desired Candidate Profile The candidates are required to have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the Building Energy Simulation (VisualDOE, TRACE 700 or other Building Energy Simulation software experience are highly recommended).

Candidates should specifically understand how to model buildings according to ASHRAE 90.1 Appendix G (Building Performance Rating method) for the requirements given by LEED EA Credit

1. Furthermore, we expect the candidates to have a university degree (architecture, physics, engineering, mechanical engineering or similar), with strong fundamental knowledge of building science.

Simulation of daylighting (using Ecotect, Radiance or other equivalent software) is an advantage.

Proficient knowledge in technical drawing and drafting, autocad knowledge is a must,

Should be familiar in SMACNA & ASHRAE standard.

Well versed in procedures for documentation for approvals, project estimate, design heat load calculation.

â He should have good general energy and building science knowledge,

â An ability to translate and communicate various energy-related standards (e.g. Ashrae, core performance guide, etc.),

â Provide strategic guidance to design teams, and perform technical analyses using energy simulation.

â Knowledge of and experience with the leed green building rating systems is also required (leed-nc at a minimum).

â Experience working on green building projects that have either achieved or pursued leed certification is preferable.

â Should have strong communication skills, management & leadership skills and motivation of his team towards achieving strict time deadlines and responding to changing priorities.
