Job Description


SmartPlay’s Embedded Software Division is establishing a team for ground-up development of an Android based mobile software platform, targeted specifically for a world leader in chipset solutions for mobile handsets.

 

The engagement involves development and integration of BSP, device drivers and middleware for custom handset reference hardware, as well as contributions to the Android open source community.

To complement a core team of domain experts previously from Motorola, Freescale, Qualcomm, Texas Instruments etc, SmartPlay is looking for talented freshers from  premier institutes in India for select and immediate positions.

 
You may apply for this opportunity if :

-          You have an ME/MTech degree from IITs or IISc from 2009 batch 

-          You rate yourself  exceptional in C programming and debugging skills

-          You consider yourself to be strong in operating systems concepts and data structures  

-          You have a flair for hacking Linux kernel or dabbling  with open-source software

 
Computer Engineering graduates are preferred, but not mandatory. 

Graduates from 2008 batch may also apply. 

 
For candidates who qualify, compensation will be among the best in the industry.
