NCE for Unified Computing Services (UCS / California) The NCE may perform any of the following components of the role breakdown depending on specific engagements: Transactional Projects Project Engineering role: Generates standard project documentation including detailed test plan for complex networks. Generates network configurations from Low Level Design for complex networks. Executes all phases of project delivery including network staging, implementation and handover. Supports pre-sales activity for complex networks. Plans and executes complex Network Upgrade and Network Migration activity. Where appropriate, supervises and mentors partner delivery teams and less experience engineers. Reviews Implementation Plans. Transactional Projects Project Consulting role: Facilitates design workshop. Documents or reviews network requirements and High Level Design. Documents or reviews Low Level Design. Reviews Implementation Plans. Proactive Service & Support: Produces architectural network designs for large-scale networks. Assists customer with deployment of complex network tools and related Network Management Systems. Reviews network requirements and High Level Design. Facilitate design workshop. Reviews Low Level Design. Reviews Implementation/ Change Management Plans. Plans and executes complex Network Upgrade and Network Migration activity. Owns customer account/s Reactive Service & Support: Troubleshoots and resolves complex customer network problems across a broad range of technologies. Acts as a technical focal point for large account network problem resolution. Advanced Services Technology Specialization Teams: Leverages and generates applicable technical best practices white papers for non core technologies. PREFERRED Certifications/qualifications: CCIE/VCP/MCSE/CNE/RHCE Typically requires BS, CS or equivalent plus 4-6 years related technical experience
