Senior Business Analyst

About the role: Dell Global Analytics (DGA) is a team of 200 analysts working for all analytical needs of Dell Inc. DGA is a part of Dell Inc, and is located out of Bangalore. DGA is looking for smart and intellectually strong candidates for the various roles in its Sales & Marketing Analytics team. This team works on various initiatives to ensure a strong ROI on every $ spent by Dell towards its marketing, using statistical, predictive, reporting & automation abilities. Mentioned below are the role characteristics of a Senior Business Analyst role.

Key Responsibilities: • Lead projects end-to-end: understand business requirements, build solutions, present recommendations and oversee implementation of solutions, measure impact – in a project management environment.

• Work with various Dell business partners and drive multiple initiatives at the same time

• Use advanced statistical tools/methods [SAS, JMP] to arrive at the most optimum solutions for the business problems

• Be a key contributor to team environment a. Knowledge management and expansion b. Build audit mechanism to sustain repetitive processes c. Understand the context of the solutions and business decisions made using it d. Drive ad-hoc analysis beyond regular assignments e. Build new tools to help aid analysis or solve business problems

Critical Requirements: • Strong domain knowledge of Marketing. Working Knowledge of Retail/Marcom would be desirable

• Excellent advanced XL skills.

• Strong Business Acumen & analytical skills with problem solving ability

• Strong grounding in statistical concepts and tools.

• Excellent communications and command skills

• Strong drive for results with a drive for exceeding quality expectations

• Ability to drive decision making and handle ambiguity

• Advanced SAS or SQL knowledge may be required for some of the roles.

Professional Experience & Technical Skills: • High degree of proficiency is required in Advanced Excel concepts, including but not limited to pivot tables, macros

• High degree of proficiency in creating decks using MS PowerPoint

Educational/ Work experience Requirements • Post Graduation is a must, only replaceable with 4 years of relevant analytical experience.

• Desired Post graduations would be MBA, M. Stats, M.Sc. (Econometrics/Math/Statistics)

• 2+ years of relevant analytical experience after post graduation. This would be an Individual contributor role with no management responsibility.
