Production Engineers at InMobi thrive on the mission-critical nature of our complex mobile advertising systems as well as the challenge that comes along with their operation. In this critical role, you'll utilize your rare combination of significant UNIX systems experience, network knowledge, troubleshooting skills, Hadoop /grid and coding sensibilities to design, deploy, monitor, and automate all operational aspects of InMobi's revenue-critical mobile advertising platforms. The ideal candidate is a technical generalist with skills ranging from production systems/network management to software development.

Operations Engineer - OE1 (Experience – 1-3 years)

Responsibilities 1. Function as a technical generalist responsible for the overall health and performance of our systems across various properties. 2. Assist in the configuration/build-out of new deployments to facilitate our constant growth. 3. Participate in 24x7 on-call pager rotation. Skill sets 1. Unix basics and fundamental. 2. Any scripting and beginner level programming skills. 3. SVN/CVS or any version control basic idea. 4. LAMP basics would be an added advantage. Senior Operations Engineer - OE2 (Experience – 3-5 years) Responsibilities 1. Function as a technical generalist responsible for the overall health and performance of our systems across various properties. 2. Assist in the configuration/build-out of new deployments to facilitate our constant growth 3. Participate in 24x7 on-call pager rotation. 4. Devise schemes to transfer, monitor, and verify terabytes of data are moved from diverse locations, securely and reliably. 5. Consider, propose, and implement new methods for system deployment, monitoring, management and automation. 6. Mentoring and coaching their sub-ordinate and groom self for next level.

Skill sets 1. Unix system admins and shell 2. Any scripting intermediate level (hands on and worked) 3. LAMP would be an added advantage. Operations Lead - OE3 (Experience – 5-8 years) Responsibilities 1. Invent better ways to manage/automate the administration of new and existing systems across various properties in InMobi, via scripting and tools development. 2. Consider, propose, and implement new methods for system deployment, monitoring, management and automation. 3. Collaborate with cross-functional organizations (engineering, QA, site operations, and security) on new product/feature design and/or diagnosis of problems with the production systems. 4. Devise schemes to transfer, monitor, and verify terabytes of data are moved from diverse locations, securely and reliably. 5. Real-time problem diagnosis/resolution on live systems 6. Monitor system health and performance, use critical thinking to find areas for improvement 7. Document processes, systems, and their associated configurations. 8. Hardware and facility capacity planning, provisioning new resources. 9. Implement and adhere to security policies and processes/controls. 10. Participate in 24x7 on-call pager rotation on need basis. 11. Mentoring and coaching their sub-ordinate and groom self for next level.

Skill sets 1. Expert level knowledge – 1. System side (UNIX). 2. Knowledge of deployment and various tools. 3. Monitoring tools 4. Version control 5. Networking 2. Intermediate level of capacity planning 3. Subject matter expertise for respective position. 4. Algorithmic and programming background 5. Strong in perl, knowledge of Java, C, Python and Ruby a big plus. 6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
