Qualification:

Ph.D in Chemistry from a recognized Indian University/Institute with at least 60% marks in Graduation and Post-Graduation level (Pass Class for SC/ST).

Work Experience & Job Responsibility:

Candidates should possess minimum 2 years of research/laboratory experience in Petroleum/Petrochemical/Polymer Labs, as Quality Control Officer/Research Officer.Candidates conversant with testing of petroleum & petrochemical products/polymers, lube oil, water and waste water samples, ambient air monitoring, process chemicals/ catalysts, hazardous wastes etc., in a Chemical/ Petrochemical Laboratory / research institute and having knowledge of computer operation will be preferred.

Candidates having researched or published Papers on Organic or Analytical Chemistry or Petroleum/Petrochemical related topic /subject shall be given due weightage. The job responsibilities broadly include interface with Petroleum  Refinery / Petrochemical / Polymer Plant operations, water and waste water quality management, Technical Services etc., for quality assurance; testing of samples as per requirements; handling computer aided instruments like GC/GLC, Spectrophotometer, AAS, FTIR, UV, ICP, Microcolulumeter, HPLC including troubleshooting; furnishing Quality Certificates of finished products; Testing of Polymers and exposure of Melt Flow Index, Color Spectrometer, WDXRF for additive and Catalyst Residual Analysis in polymer, APS, Bulk Density Apparatus, Lab Extruder operation, UTM operation; NABL accreditation, evaluation and optimization of process chemicals and additives as per requirements; calibration of laboratory equipment; new product development; trouble shooting / rendering assistance to process/production etc.

Age Limit: 30 years as on 31.08.2009 (33 years for OBC and 35 years for SC/ST candidates & 40 years for PH).
