Position : Salesforce Technical Consultant Company : UK Based Insurance & Reinsurance Broking Firm Reports to : Group Salesforce Manager Direct Reports : None Location : Powai, Mumbai Purpose of Role : The role of the Salesforce Technical consultant is to ensure technical support is provided to all areas ensuring the integrity and functionality Salesforce.com system platform is maintained in line with the Change Advisory Board (CAB) direction. Key Competencies Role Holders need to: 1. Customise the platform, including fields, page layouts and tabs • Create & Update Fields, Page Layouts and Record Types • Create and Update Custom Apps, Objects, Tabs, Report Types, Workflows and Approvals • Write triggers, validation rules • Knowledge of Apex • Design visual force pages • Maintain pick lists • Maintain Formula fields • Data Administration as required; Including Managing Inserts, Update, Deletes and Exports 2. Ensure the environment and data is secure by creating and updating security and sharing rules • Manage Sharing Settings • Manage Field security rules • Manage Password Policies • Manage IT access login range • Manage single sign-on settings 3. Maintaining and importing clean data via the appropriate data loading tools • Import and Export Data using Data loader, import wizard, excel connector. 4. Creating and maintaining Reports and Dashboards • Create and Update Custom Reports • Create and Update Custom Dashboards 5. Application development using Force.com platform 6. Sales force Integration with other applications 7. Unit Testing Qualification: B.Tech/B.E/MCA with minimum 2 years of relevant IT Experience Competency Indicators: • Ensure Salesforce.com platform meets the Business requirements • Accuracy – low levels of error • All Technical Policies and Procedures kept up to date • Change Control and Security procedures adhered to Desired Skills: • Experience of Force.com application development • Good knowledge of Force.com sites and Siteforce • Good knowledge of Apex, Visualforce and other aspect of salesforce technical platform Good to have: • Knowledge of the sales management process • Exposure of various portals (customer portal, partner portal) • Exposure to Salesforce call centre application • Knowledge to CTI and other integrations • Knowledge of any ETL tool would be an added advantage Regards, Athreya This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
