Candidate will be responsible for the operations of SQL Server 2005 and 2008 platform in the following manner:
· Install and configure SQL instances
· Implement databases and application changes in accordance with change management process, timelines and project costs.
· Participate in code testing activities
· Identify, investigate and resolve assigned incidents documented as a database or BI problem
· Responsible for reviewing platform performance and remediating environmental bottlenecks which are present
· Recommend opportunities for improving performance, maintenance tasks and software upgrades
· Responsible for the backup and recovery of all databases per defined schedule and/or recovery plan
· Ensure use of database, aligns with set security guidelines surrounding access, data authorization and audits
