The CompaA Reputed  Client of Antal International, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India The Role REPORTING TO:  Solid : Site leader PD REPORTS:          Facility leader – Test track Leader – Field testing and reliability assessment Technicians (Test engineer – Vehicle testing and instrumentation) Test drivers SCOPE AND IMPACT OF POSITION ON THE ORGANIZATION: Provides and maintains test track and test vehicles for vehicle system testing and homologation. Responsible for new facility creation including new layouts at the test track and procurement/ maintenance of vehicles. Is also responsible for field testing of new products on customer vehicles and product reliability studies initiated by PD on existing products and systems. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: a.    Manage the test track administration with the help of the facility leader. Manage external and internal customer interfaces for Vehicle System Testing and homologation. b.    Estimate and allocate resources (Including temporary workers) c.    Plan and execute test track facility creation activities and expansion. d.    Procure and maintain test vehicles and instrumentation required. e.    Maintain vehicle conversion and maintenance workshop f.    Plan and conduct field testing of new products on customer vehicles and conduct reliability studies with the help of leader – field testing. g.    Manage budgets and cost h.    Continuous Improvement (Cost and lead time) i.     Monitoring of instrument and equipment calibration j.    Assess skill gaps and improve competencyhe Person EXPERIENCE: ·      Mechanical engineer with 8 to 10 years of experience vehicle system testing, test track maintenance, with hands-on vehicle testing and homologation knowledge. ·      Should have a background in test facilities and testing methods ·      Working experience in data acquisition and instrumentation PROFILE:·      Mechanical engineering Graduate ·      Good academic background ·      Strong technical fundamentals ·      Systematic approach with organizing capabilities ·      Capable of guiding and grooming young engineers ·      Good communication and customer management skills OUTPUT: ·      Development and extension of new facilities on the test track ·      Test track revenue from customer testing ·      Calibration traceability of Equipments and Instrumentation related to vehicle testing ·      Planned reliability reports on existing products ·      Training of vehicle testing engineers METRICS: ·      Test track facilities implementation as per plan ·      Vehicle procurements/ modifications as per plan ·      Support for vehicle system testing and homologation tests as per plan ·      Revenue generation from test track rentals as per plan ·      Resources consumed (manhours and budget) ·      Compliance to calibration ·      Field testing and product reliability studies as per plan INTERNAL INTERACTIONS:  Vehicle system test engineers, application engineers, Marketing engineers and communications with PD-TT team at Hannover. EXTERNAL INTERACTIONS:  Customer testing personnel, regulatory authorities, test track design and construction agencies TRAVEL REQUIREMENT:  20%
