Job Description 

Supply Chain Team in Amazon Hyderabad is looking for an SDE with strong programming skills, excellent analytical abilities and deep knowledge of CS Fundamentals.

Supply Chain Team in India is responsible for providing world-class customer experience to Amazon.com visitors and shoppers alike.  Apart from Amazon, systems developed by India Team are utilized on several partner websites such as M&S in UK and Target.com in US.  Supply Chain Team in India directly contributes to Amazon’s vision of being ‘Earth’s most Customer Centric Company’.

 

 

Basic Qualifications 

The candidate must have :

Bachelors/Masters/PhD in Engineering (or equivalent)

Strong Programming Skills in Java or C++ 

Sharp Analytical Skills and Strong CS Fundamentals

Basic Knowledge of databases, SQL and Oracle

Working Knowledge of Linux (or equivalent system)

 

Preferred Qualifications 

These skills will be considered a big plus :

Experience with website front end technologies

Familiarity with EC2 and Cloud Computing 

Knowledge of Ruby/Perl

 

Candidate is expected to be highly customer focused.  Excellent communication skills needed, regular communication with US team on email, phone and VC will be needed. Candidate should have ability to maintain high focus on software quality while still meeting the challenging deadlines. Sense of ownership and desire to innovate are must-have attributes.
