Hachi Labs (http://www.gohachi.com/) is an early stage US startup based out of Bangalore, targeting the $11B people search industry. We have some of the biggest names in internet startups from silicon valley backing us - folks who have built consumer apps that hundreds of millions of users are using and loving. We were the finalist at International Startup Festival Canada, and at Seedcamp Mumbai.

We are looking for 2 rockstar engineering interns. The opportunity involves working on large databases (graph of hundreds of millions of relationships), performance and algorithms - basically, building a kickass product that the world loves to use! You'll get to work with some of the smartest minds, in solving this complex and fun computer science challenge.

SKILLS Must have - - Final-year BTech student (Computer Science or a related technical degree) - Proficiency in PHP - Knowledge of databases, MVC architecture - Understanding of high performance, scalable architecture & design A plus - - UI development with cross browser programming - Knowledge of automated testing tools If you've ever built an app from scratch (a hobby project counts!), then we would absolutely love to talk to you! This is a full time intern role based out of Bangalore.

TASK -- Write code to display "Recent Searches" feature for any social network of your choice (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn..). It should display last 5 searches of a user.

Fields given - 1.Type: (Person/Name, Organization, Title, Location) 2.Query: (Search query) > You are free to use any programming language. (Explain the reason why you have chosen it.) > You are free to use any database. (Explain the reason why you have chosen it.) > Any added feature like caching, etc. is a plus. > State all your assumptions. Also, write your views on how you will implement recent searches in your network (i.e. searches made by your friends).

You need not write the code for this, we just want to understand how you would go about implementing it. Do write how scalable is your idea.
